Finalising My Transdisciplinary Project

My transdisciplinary project has its basis. As for what it is I wish to achieve with the project, I have decided that it will be aiming towards a group show. The exhibition will be made up from work collected and curated from free workshops and activities with trans+ artists interested in exploring their personal relationship with fertility and the fertility preservation experience.

These workshops could include:

Mind mapping your experience of fertility as a trans+ person (Could be done in groups to bounce ideas off each other)

Writing workshop – exploring ways of expression through words

How to visualize emotion

The classic: Zine making workshop

These workshops would be documented, and the outcomes would be collected to then be presented as part of the show alongside an open call of works related to the theme. I would need explicit permission to use the work in the show after the workshops are completed as people may not be comfortable sharing some of the work. Attendance at the workshops would not be mandatory to take part of the show. Attendees would not need to attend every workshop but would be encouraged to fully attend and engage in the project. 

An inspiration of mine for this method of working is Resolve Collective who works with local communities to deliver workshops and events that boost moral and directly help those in need. Particularly, their project 2024 has been most influential in a curatorial sense due to the way in which they displayed documentation of work within the local communities.
